Privacy Policy

Effective 12 July 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Jambli (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you use jambli.app and related services. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

1. Overview

Jambli is built to work with as little of your data as possible. You can play many Jams without creating an account. When you sign in, we collect only what we need to run the Service, keep it safe and improve playable experiences.

2. Information we collect

Account information. If you create an account: username, display name, email address (via our authentication provider), avatar and profile settings.

Content you provide. Jams you create, comments, likes, saves, follows, reports and other material you submit.

Play and usage data. For guests and signed-in users: coarse play analytics such as device class, referrer source, completion events and feature usage. We do not use your raw IP address or full user agent string as persistent identifiers in creator analytics.

Anonymous session. A first-party anonymous session cookie so games work across pages without requiring sign-in.

Authentication session. A first-party session cookie when you are signed in.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate and personalise the Service
  • Publish and display Jams, profiles, comments and social features
  • Compute play results, challenges and aggregate analytics
  • Keep the platform safe through moderation and abuse prevention
  • Send notifications you opt into
  • Improve reliability, performance and product design
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.

4. When we share information

We may share information:

  • Publicly — when you publish a Jam, comment or public profile information
  • With service providers — hosting, authentication, storage, analytics and safety vendors that process data on our instructions
  • For safety and legal reasons — to respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, or investigate abuse
  • In a business transfer — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, subject to this policy

5. What creators can see

Creator analytics are aggregate counts only: plays, completions, shares, result distributions and similar summaries. Creators do not see which specific person answered what.

6. Quiz answers and poll votes

Individual answers are stored so we can show you your result, run challenges and compute aggregate statistics. They are not shown publicly or to creators in an identifiable form.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use first-party cookies only: one for your sign-in session and one anonymous session cookie for playing. We do not use third-party advertising trackers on Jambli.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some features, including play sessions and sign-in.

8. Your choices and rights

You can update profile and notification settings in the app. Your liked Jams are private by default; you can change visibility in settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

9. Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal, moderation and safety obligations.

Deleting your account removes your profile and personal data. Published Jams that others have remixed may keep an anonymised attribution line. Some logs and safety records may be retained for a limited period where required.

10. Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls and moderation tooling. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

11. Children

Jambli is not directed at children under 13, and accounts require a minimum age of 13. Creators aged 13–17 receive additional content protections. If you believe a child has provided personal information in violation of this policy, contact us.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes before they take effect where required by law.
